GreenPois0n for iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak is near to Release

The recent tweet from Joshua Hill of the Chronic Dev Team suggests that the Greenpois0n will be updated to support jailbreak for all iDevices running on iOS 4.2.1 after completing new sandbox patches. Greenpois0n uses Geohot’s bootrom USB exploit used in limera1nand not the SHAtter jailbreak exploit which has been leaked.

GreenPois0n Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak
Updated version of greenpois0n coming whenever I finish adding these new sandbox patches, sorry this has taken so long
Right now it is tethered jailbreak! Untethered jailbreak exploit is said to jailbreak iPhone 4and other fourth generation devices such as the iPod Touch 4 and the iPad. Right now specific models of iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads running iOS 4.2.1 can only be Jailbroken via the “tethered” method which means they need to be plugged into your Windows or Mac PC and rebooted using redsn0w.
While we’re not sure about the status of that window, we do know that greenpois0n RC5 will be released very soon. We’ll keep you updated as soon as more information pours in.
