iOS 4.2.5 / iOS 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak by Comex to Arrive Together ?

Delayed again! The recent tweet from Comex of iPhone Dev team suggests that he may wait for the release of the Verizon iPhone 4 before releasing his untethered jailbreak exploit. Now, the entire iPhone community has to wait till Verizon iPhone 4 hits the shelves, i.e. 10th February. The statement arrived after Verizon iPhone 4 was launched yesterday and Apple seeded iOS 4.3 beta today.

untethered Jailbreak by Comex
i0n1c: so @comex is not waiting for the next iOS for untethering?
comex: @i0n1c I don’t know, I think I’m waiting for the Verizon iPhone.
It seems that Comex do not want to waste his untethered jailbreak exploit and want to break into iOS 4.2.1, iOS 4.3 and Verizon iOS 4.2.5simultaneously. However, using Musclenerd’s backup plan, Redsn0w can be used that untethers iOS 4.2.1 JB for iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, iPhone 3G, old BR iPhone 3GS, old BR iPod Touch 2G. Interestingly, after an ongoing delay, the Chronic Dev-Team has already decided to work onGreenpois0nthat will support untethered Jailbreak.
While we’re not sure about the exact status of final untethered solution, we do know that they are almost ready for release followed by iPhone 4 baseband 02.10.04 / 3.10.01 unlock. So, please be patient! We need to wait till Verizon 10th February.
