New Exploit for Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak! discovered BY pod2g

By sheer serendipity, pod2g of SHAtter jailbreak exploit fame has discovered another exploit for untethered jailbreak for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch running on iOS 4.2.1. With this new untethered vulnerability all registers are controllable. Most likely this new exploit will be used in a new tool to jailbreak iOS 4.3+ or iOS 5.0, which the team will decide.

Few days back, the Joshu Hill of Chronic Dev Team posted a teaser video showing untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak running on iPhone 4. The team now have two exploits that can be used for un-tethering the jailbreak. Updated Greenpois0n jailbreak tool is said to untether jailbreak iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad running iOS 4.2.1 without requiring SHSH blobs for iOS 4.2b3.
Interestingly, the iPhone Dev-Team has already ported Monte technique back to iOS 4.1 kernel (SHSH blobs) to achieve an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 without having 4.2b3 SHSH blobs saved on Cydia. But, the updated redsn0w has not been released and you ought to have SHSH blobs for iOS 4.2b3 saved on Cydia to untether your iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak.
