Just when we thought that iPad 2 jailbreak has hit a roadblock with the patching of both Limera1n and SHAtter exploits by Apple, Comex has surprised all of us by giving a new browser based exploit to jailbreakiPad 2. Here is a picture of a white iPad 2 showing Cydia.
Comex is the same guy who earlier gave us userland (browser based)
exploits such as Spirit andJailbreakMe. A userland jailbreak works when you visit a website on your iPad mobile Safari, so there’s no need to connect your device to PC or run some jailbreak tool. The iPad 2 jailbreak too should be userland because according to the iPhone Dev Team, Comex has done it remotely 2500 miles away from the device!
Well, does this mean JailbreakMe 3.0 is on it’s way so that you can jailbreak your iPad 2 simply by visiting the website jailbreakme.com from your browser?
Well, Comex needs some time to turn the exploit into a jailbreak that will work for every one.
@GUnitJC: @comex does this mean jailbreakme 3.0 is out now since you just had jailbroken the new iPad 2?@comex: @GUnitJC No, it will take some work to package it into a jailbreak. Same deal as i0n1c.
